Club Terms and Conditions

MEMBERSHIP FEES:
You are required to sign up for a minimum of 12 months of membership and your fees are payable in advance. No cash payments will be accepted at the offices. The membership fees for ordinary members will include main club fee and selected sporting code levies.   On the expiry of the Fixed Term, this Agreement will be automatically continued on a month-to month basis, (subject to any changes of which we will have given you notice as is required in the CPA) unless you expressly tell us to terminate this Agreement on the expiry of the Fixed Term, your membership will automatically renew at the end of the 12-month period, should you wish to cancel your membership you are to notify the club in writing one month prior to the end of your 12-month membership term. Should you terminate this Agreement prior to the expiry of the Fixed Term contract (or any renewal period), you will be responsible for all amounts owing to the Club up to the date of termination and the Club will be entitled to levy a 3 (Three) month cancellation penalty, excluding the notice month, in accordance with the guidelines set out in the CPA Regulations. Access to the Club will be denied when subscription falls 30 days in arrears, and your membership will be terminated, and your membership history will be reset if you select to rejoin the Club. Please Note the onus lays with the member to resolve any queries and make all payments on time, the Club cannot be held responsible for non-payments due to invoices not being received. The member is required to follow up. The onus is also on the member to notify the Club should they wish to terminate their membership.  

COOLING OFF FOR NEW MEMBERS:
You have the right to terminate your membership, which must be exercised by notice in writing from you to us given and received within 5 (five) Business Days after the submitted application date.  If you exercise the right of termination, this Agreement will automatically be terminated, and you will be refunded any payment we received from you within 15 (fifteen) Business Days after your notice of termination is received by us. By completing this document, you consent to The Wanderers Club collecting and storing certain personal information from you. The Club complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI) regarding the collection, use and storage of your personal information. We will use your personal information to send you the Club’s weekly newsletter, which has an option for you to unsubscribe. Parents must consent to a junior joining the club and providing the required personal information on the minor. We are committed to protecting your personal information from unauthorised access, use, disclosure, alteration, or destruction in line with the Privacy Policy (available on our website at www.wanderersclub.co.za), and to not use it for any other purpose other than the performance of the membership agreement unless otherwise required by law. If it becomes necessary to share personal information with a third party for conducting business for this specific purpose, we will ensure that the third party is contractually bound to keep the personal information it receives confidential and to put in place appropriate security measures to keep it secure.   If this application is for a child under the age of 18, the parent or legal guardian who submits the application for the child consents to us processing the child’s personal information according to our Privacy Policy for the purposes of the performance of the membership agreement. We will not further process the personal information of the child without the parent or legal guardian’s express consent.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
You agree that this submitted application for membership is a distinct acknowledgement on your part that you are bound by the Constitution and Rules, Regulations and By-laws of the Wanderers Club and Sub-clubs, which are now, or which may be in force in the future. You agree to accept the rulings of the Committee in all cases. You acknowledge that you will not be absolved from the effect of any of the Constitution and Rules, Regulations and By-laws of the Wanderers Club and Sub-clubs on the grounds of not having received a copy of any of them.

You acknowledge that the Club cannot be held responsible or liable for any loss or damage to your property or possessions arising out of theft or any other cause, or for any personal injury sustained.

I understand that if any of the undertakings or statements made by me in this application are found to be false or misleading, it will constitute a breach of the Club’s rules and regulations. This may result in the invalidation of my application and, if already elected to membership, the termination of my membership. I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for the payment of my membership fees, levies, and any applicable affiliation fees. I further acknowledge that it is not the Club’s responsibility to follow up on my payments. Failure to make payment will result in the termination of my membership. Should I wish to rejoin the Club after termination due to non-payment, I will be required to pay a defaulters' rejoining fee and settle any outstanding amounts. I understand that in such a case, my previous membership history will be removed, and I will be regarded as a new member. This may affect my future eligibility for special or honorary membership considerations.
